Experience the Beat at a Professional Studio

It is with pleasure I can finally announce this incredible Master Class working alongside Beck Studio in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Over the last twenty years I have experienced many different sessions and projects involving my drumming skill. Playing in a studio is a very different experience from performing on a Live stage. It is my intention to teach some of the secrets needed for this skill.

The course will last for two hours and is designed for drummers of all levels. Set in a top-tier professional studio, this gives me the opportunity to give you the full experience. Each student will be provided with headphones. This will enable you to hear the same as me when I play. I will be demonstrating how I approach being in the studio and show you “tricks of the trade” I use during a performance. It is hoped that it will inspire your drumming to a new level of excitement and encourage you to explore new possibilities. Maybe one day you will be in the studio yourself.

If that wasn’t enough, we are also offering an afternoon session giving you the chance to learn the actual recording process using Pro Tools. Dave Smith is Chief Studio Engineer and owner of Beck Studio. With an excellent reputation in the music business and hit records to his name, he will be guiding you through working with Pro Tools.

With the popularity of home recording, you will learn valuable skills to help you set this up. But that’s not everything!!! You’re a Drummer? We will also need you to record your playing. I am inviting a selected few to experience a session for real. You will record a track of our choosing and receive the recording for you to keep. I will also be able to film this recording making it possible for you to share on your social media.
